Exhibition | All Aboard ! The Reford Gardens on Train Time
From March 2 to 18, Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the Aire Desjardins of the Great Hall.

To underline the importance of the train in the development of the region and the place that the railway world occupies in the history of the Reford Gardens, the latter, with the participation of the Société d’histoire de Matane and the Comité du patrimoine de Price and some individual collectors, present All Aboard ! The Reford Gardens on Train Time, a photographic exhibition on the railway traveled, among others, by La Punaise, a railcar moving under its own power, which linked Mont-Joli to Matane, from 1926 and until the end of the 1960s. Some scale models and railway artifacts from various sources will also be presented to delight young and older children.
Two conferences will be held during this event. The first, “The history of the Mont-Joli-Matane railway” will be given by the journalist, Gilles Gagné, Sunday, March 2, at 10 a.m., and the second, “When fashion takes the train” by the education and animation technician of the Reford Gardens, Philippe Denis, Thursday, March 6, at 7 p.m. The exhibition and the two lectures will take place in the Aire Desjardins of the Great Hall.
