Plant Cyanotype

Plant Cyanotype

As part of World Photography Day, come create a botanical print reproducing the print of exotic and native plants planted by Elsie Reford in her gardens between 1926 and 1958 using the cyanotype technique.

It will also be an opportunity to experiment with chemistry and discover that Prussian blue isn't the only color that can be obtained using this photographic process developed by John Herschel in 1842.
