June 8, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
As part of the exhibition project Gloria algae. Marine algae from Quebec by Marcelle Gauvreau, photographer Yves Lavoie and museologist and researcher Philippe Denis invite you to come and discuss the different ways of creating algae trees, fragile structures that combine art and science, as part of International Oceans Day..
Little (re)known, naturalist Marcelle Gauvreau worked to advance science, particularly through her research on local marine algae, and to popularize them among young people. Inspired by the rare algae found throughout the world, the exhibition that will follow will pay tribute to her.
