Presented as part of the “Le Rendez-vous s’épivarde” program at the "Rendez-vous des Grandes Gueules", an international festival of storytelling and narratives from the Francophone world held in Trois-Pistoles.

In the mists of time, a piece of ancient wood—sometimes a staff of peace, sometimes one of war—becomes a tree out of love for the Moon. A tree with a head full of leaves. Then he plunges us into the heart of the adventures of Auhaïtsic (Frétillant et agile), this unlikely Wendat hero who saves his nation from extinction. From a stick that became a tree to a boy who becomes a legend, Sioui reminds us that still waters run deep.

Jocelyn Sioui is a storyteller, creator, community builder, and puppeteer whose work is infused with humor, real-life stories, and imagination. His book *Mononk Jules* and the play of the same name lead him to question his origins and collective memory. As an author, creator, and performer, he attempts to piece together the fragments of a hidden history.
