For the 25th edition of the Literary Teas, 6 meetings with 11 great voices of literature in Quebec and the musicians who will accompany them are offered to the population from June 21 to September 14 at the Jardins de Métis.
Sunday, September 14, at 4 p.m.: Élise Turcotte and Louise Bombardier
Animation: Annie Landreville
Music: Lydia Clapperton, piano
Although the theme is grief, our two authors won't make you cry. With titles like Pourquoi faire une maison avec ses morts or Le parfum de la tubérose, Élise Turcotte explores the themes of grief and loss. Her latest title, Autoportrait d’une autre, takes the form of an investigation into the life and circumstances that led her aunt to suicide, an event that marked her childhood. Actress and playwright Louise Bombardier, has published two collections of poetry on aging, Dans le giron vert de l’été (In the Green Girth of Summer) and Brûler l’hiver (Burning Winter).
