The Shifting Studio
The International Garden Festival has invited visual artist Bruno Santerre to design a workshop that would appeal to new and experienced photographers alike. Exercises will lead participants to experiment with the photographic frame (revealing/masking, inside/outside, etc.), the gaze, and show-photography.

Bruno Santerre works mainly in installation (drawing, photography, sculpture). He has presented his work in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Quebec, Canada and abroad, and has carried out some twenty public art projects. He lives and works in Rimouski, where he taught visual arts at the Cégep level for over thirty years.

Duration: approximately 3 hours
Level: All levels
Equipment required: digital camera and SD memory card / phone with built-in camera and cellular data plan (or cable and adapter for file sharing). Optional: tripod.
